Roulette Rules
Considered as one of the easiest games to play and understand, the roulette playing table consists of a betting area and the roulette wheel. The wheel has 38 compartments with numbers from 1 to 36 that are colored black and red, and two green compartments with a single zero and a double zero. It is advised that players must have different colored chips so that bets will not be mixed up. Usually these colored chips are exchanged back with cash chips that have the value amount imprinted on them and will be taken to the cash desk to give you the actual cash money in exchange.
Chips
Chips, which are also called checks, are bought in stacks of 20 from the dealer. Chips are given in a color. Of course you must determine what the chips are worth when you buy. These chips were regarded as bets when playing roulette and players place many chips as they wish. You should know that table minimums are posted at each roulette table and that the checks have no value at other games. Therefore make sure you cash in your checks before leaving the table.
The Game
How to start the game? The game starts by placing bets on the numbered layout. The dealer will spin the wheel in one direction and the small ball will be spun in the opposite direction. The small ball will fall into one of the wheel's numbered compartments and determines the winning number. The dealer then marks the winning number on the betting area and bets are paid accordingly. Take note that players can no longer place any more bets once the wheel is spinning and when the dealer says “No more bets.” Placing of bets after the croupier says “No more bets” is not legal. This activity is commonly referred as past posting. It is not recommended because it is considered cheating.
