Cryptologic Ties Up With GTS

The leading online gaming software provider Cryptologic has recently announced through a press release that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Gaming Technology Solutions (GTS). GTS supplies platform solutions to the online gaming industry. Through this partnership Cryptologic will be able to deliver some of its casino games to the customers of GTS that are among the best online casino operators. This list includes Unibet, bwin, 888, Expekt, and Betclick. These customers operate on Enhanced Gaming Engine (EdGE), a proprietary games platform developed by GTS. To start with ten of the best Cryptologic games will be offered to GTS customers by March 2009.
Cryptologic has embarked on a strategy of delivering is products to new customers through their existing channels. In this it has been choosing the best in the field. It is for this reason it has selected the EdGE platform from GTS. EdGE can deliver multiple forms of content in multiple languages, currencies and domains. In technical terms that is known as a cross channel content delivery platform. For example EdGE provides services in all European languages and in Chinese, Japanese and Korean, which are the languages of the Asian online gaming market. EdGE can also deliver a range of online gambling products like sports betting, casino, bingo, puzzle and soft games in both download and instant play formats. Prior to this deal Cryptologic had entered into similar arrangements with 888.com, PartyGaming and Orbis.
This partnership makes business sense for GTS as well. The customers of GTS can now have access to Cryptologic’s top class online casino games. In all Cryptologic offers over 200 games. The best of these games are branded games developed in partnership with the brand owners. A perfect example of this are the Marvel Comics super hero based online slot games that are extremely popular. In fact Cryptologic has won Gambling Online Magazine's Top Casino Software award for 2008, having won it in the previous two years as well.
In another simultaneous press release Cryptologic unveiled its future plans. It is planning a strategic partnership for its poker network with GTECH Corporation. This is also expected to be on stream by March 2009. Cryptologic also plans extensive cost cutting and restructuring of its existing business. With all this it expects to start making profits in the second quarter of 2009. The organization is projecting net profits of about $10 million in 2009. The new partnerships entered into over the past few months are expected to add about $8 million to the revenue stream and contribute significantly to the profits.
