888 Online Casino Wins Gambling Online Magazine Award

The Gambling Online Magazine awards were announced a few days ago. The online casino 888 was awarded the prize for the Top Casino of the Year for 2008. This prize is awarded to that online casino which has the best products and offers the best customer service. 888 had won this award for 2007 as well. 888 conveyed this information through a press release from Gibraltar.
Since September 2008 this is the seventh award at the fourth award function won by 888. In September 2008 at the eGaming Awards, 888 won three awards. This included the most coveted award of Operator of the Year. The other two awards were for the Bingo Operator of the Year and the innovative Land Links Partnership of the Year. 888 is a complete online gambling portal that offers, in addition to its casino, products like poker, sports betting, backgammon and bingo. The Operator of the Year award considered its performance in all categories and hence was special. The Bingo award was special as well because online bingo showed tremendous growth last year. 888 won two awards at the Leisure Report Awards in October 2008. These awards cover the entire spectrum of leisure activities. Here it won the Operator of the Year award in which it competed with operators in areas other than gambling as well. 888 also won the Best Betting & Gaming award in which it competed with other gaming operators. Its in house customer magazine, Eight, won the Most Effective Membership award at the APA Effectiveness Awards in November 2008.
There is reason for everyone at 888 to be thrilled at this long list of successes. However, Matt Robinson, Vice President marketing at 888, says that the Gambling Online Magazine award is the best. It is the only award that is given by the customers who actually use the product and also use competing products. Another reason why this award is so prestigious is because of its long standing. This is the eighth year for these awards. Subscribers to the Gambling Online Magazine can cast their votes by filling out the online form. They can vote in a single category or all the twenty-three categories. These categories include Top Casino, Top Innovation in Online Gaming, Best Casino Software, Best Casino Customer Service, Best Slots Site, Top Blackjack Site, Top Poker Site, Top Sportsbook and Top Bingo Site.
